Short answer

If you are landing at Mactan-Cebu, start with the option that did not exist before December 2025: Sunlight Air flies from this airport straight to Siquijor in about 55 minutes. When your dates line up with it, the honest answer is that you never leave the terminal - you connect, and the whole southern journey below is something you do not have to do. It flies a few days a week (reported as four at launch and three on the airline’s own current page), so it is worth checking the day before you plan around it.

When it does not line up, you cross by sea, and there are three ways. OceanJet runs a daily passenger fastcraft from Cebu that calls at Tagbilaran in Bohol and continues to Siquijor town port in roughly 4 to 4.5 hours on a single ticket - no vehicles. Lite Ferries runs an overnight RORO from Cebu Pier 3 to Larena, leaving 1:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and docking about 11:00 PM, which is the one that carries a car. And the classic route still works: down the length of Cebu’s east coast to Liloan port at Santander (around 165 km, roughly 4 to 5 hours past Carcar, Argao and Oslob), the short fast craft to Sibulan next to Dumaguete, then a Dumaguete-to-Siquijor fast ferry of about 45 minutes to an hour.

What we drive is the Cebu-side leg of whichever you pick: your arrivals gate to the check-in desk for the flight, to Pier 1 for the OceanJet, to Pier 3 for the RORO, or the full coastal run to Liloan timed to your sailing. Your driver waits in arrivals with a name board either way. The flight and the boat tickets are yours to book - they sit outside our quote - and the Liloan-to-Sibulan crossing runs frequently through the day, nine RORO sailings each way plus a passenger fast craft (see our verified ferry timetable). Always confirm the current times close to your travel date, as both sailings and flight days shift.

Step by step: Mactan Airport to Siquijor

  1. 1
Land at Mactan (CEB) and meet your driver

Your driver waits in arrivals with a name board. No taxi queue and no working out the long trip south with your bags, you step straight into a private car or van.

  2. 2
Drive down Cebu’s east coast to Liloan port

It is about 165 km from the airport to Liloan port at Santander, the southern tip of Cebu, roughly 4 to 5 hours along the coastal highway through Carcar, Argao and Oslob. We time the run so you reach the port in good time to connect, and you can add a stop along the way.

  3. 3
Cross to Sibulan, then on to Dumaguete port

The fast craft from Liloan (Santander) to Sibulan next to Dumaguete takes about 20 to 30 minutes, then it is a short ride round to Dumaguete’s ferry port. Both the crossing and the onward Siquijor boat are public services paid at the port.

  4. 4
    Fast ferry Dumaguete to Siquijor

The Dumaguete-to-Siquijor fast craft takes about 45 minutes to an hour and lands at Siquijor town port or Larena. Several sailings run through the day; check the current times as they change with weather and season.

Ways to travel, compared

  • Private transfer to the ferry port (what we arrange)~4-5 hrs road leg

Door-to-door from arrivals down the east coast to Liloan (Santander) port in a private car or van, timed to a sailing, with a driver who meets you at the gate. Fixed, all-in price for the Cebu land leg, request a quote.

  • Direct flight from the airport you just landed at~55 min

Sunlight Air has flown Mactan-Cebu to Siquijor non-stop since 15 December 2025 on an ATR 72. A few days a week only - reported as four at launch, three on the airline's current page - so check your date. Booked with the airline; we drive you to departures.

  • OceanJet fastcraft via Tagbilaran~4-4.5 hrs

A daily passenger fastcraft from Cebu calling at Tagbilaran in Bohol and continuing to Siquijor town port on one ticket. Passengers only, no vehicles. We run you from arrivals to Pier 1.

  • Overnight RORO, Cebu Pier 3 to Larena~10 hrs

Lite Ferries leaves at 1:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, docking at Larena around 11:00 PM; Starlite runs an overnight twice a week. The option that takes a vehicle.

  • Ferries: Liloan to Sibulan, then Dumaguete to Siquijor~20-30 min + ~45-60 min

Two short public crossings, threaded through Dumaguete, after the 4 to 5 hour drive south. Fixed fares paid at the port; OceanJet and Montenegro Lines run the Dumaguete-Siquijor leg. Confirm the current times before you travel.

  • DIY by Ceres bus + ferries~7-8 hrs

A public Ceres bus runs from the Cebu South Bus Terminal to Liloan port and rolls onto the barge to Sibulan - the east-coast service signed “Bato via Oslob” - then you make your own way to Dumaguete port for the Siquijor boat. Cheapest, but a long day of connections with your luggage straight after a flight.

Want more than a transfer?

Add stops on the way to the pier

What we run on this route is the road leg to the pier, so the stops go on this side of the water: lunch, a viewpoint, a shop before you sail, with your bags staying in the car. The crossing itself is your own booking. Send us your flight and the sailing you are aiming for, and we set the pickup and the stops so the two connect with room to spare.

  • The car waits wherever you stop
  • Luggage stays in the vehicle
  • Fuel, tolls and parking included
  • Entrance fees paid locally, as you go

We'll pre-fill Mactan-Cebu Airport (CEB) Siquijor. Put the stops you want in the notes box and we'll come back with one all-in price.

Mactan Airport to Siquijor: FAQs

How do you get to Siquijor from Cebu airport?

If your dates allow it, you fly: Sunlight Air goes non-stop from Mactan-Cebu to Siquijor in about 55 minutes, a few days a week. By sea, the quickest is OceanJet's daily fastcraft via Tagbilaran, roughly 4 to 4.5 hours on one ticket from Cebu, and the overnight Lite Ferries RORO to Larena takes about 10 hours but carries a vehicle. The classic overland route is still there too: down Cebu's east coast to Liloan port at Santander (about 165 km, 4 to 5 hours), the short fast craft to Sibulan next to Dumaguete, then the Dumaguete-to-Siquijor fast ferry of 45 minutes to an hour. Cebu.travel drives the Cebu-side leg of any of them, request a quote.

Is there a direct ferry to Siquijor from Cebu?

Yes, two kinds. OceanJet runs a daily passenger fastcraft that leaves Cebu, calls at Tagbilaran in Bohol and carries on to Siquijor town port - about 4 to 4.5 hours end to end, one ticket, no change of vessel, but no vehicles. Lite Ferries runs a slower RORO straight from Cebu Pier 3 to Larena on Siquijor's north-east coast, leaving 1:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and arriving around 11:00 PM, and Starlite runs an overnight twice a week; those take cars and motorbikes. The two land at opposite ends of the island, roughly 45 minutes apart by road, so the boat decides where you should book a room.

How long is the ferry from Dumaguete to Siquijor?

The Dumaguete-to-Siquijor fast craft takes about 45 minutes to an hour, with several sailings a day run by operators such as OceanJet and Montenegro Lines, landing at Siquijor town port or Larena. Times can change with weather and season, so confirm the current schedule and allow a comfortable connection after the drive down and the Sibulan crossing.

Could I just fly into Siquijor instead?

Yes, and since December 2025 that is the fastest way there. Sunlight Air flies Mactan-Cebu to Siquijor non-stop on an ATR 72 in about 55 minutes, using the island's upgraded airport. It is not daily - the launch was reported as four days a week and the airline's own current page says three - so confirm your date with the airline before you build a trip around it. If the day does not work, OceanJet's fastcraft via Tagbilaran is the next quickest at 4 to 4.5 hours. Either way we can meet your inbound flight and run you to departures or to the pier, request a quote.

Can you do the return trip, Siquijor back to Mactan Airport?

Yes - for the way back we meet your ferry at the pier and drive you on to Mactan Airport, the same road leg in reverse. You book the crossing itself, as on the way out; tell us your ferry and your flight time in the quote request and we set the pickup so the two connect with room to spare.

What does the price for Mactan Airport to Siquijor include?

The quote is one fixed all-in price for the private vehicle leg, agreed in writing before you travel, and fuel, tolls and parking are inside it - along with any waiting time or extra stops you tell us about when you ask. Because this trip involves a sea crossing, the ferry or boat ticket is not in that figure unless we have set it out for you: tell us your crossing and we will say plainly what we are quoting for and what you book yourself. Entrance and activity fees at anywhere you stop, and your meals, are paid locally.

Travelling the other way?

We meet your ferry at the pier and drive you on to Mactan Airport: the same road leg in reverse, with the crossing your own booking as on the way out. Tell us your ferry and your flight time and we set the pickup so the two connect with room to spare.

We'll pre-fill Siquijor Mactan Airport on the form. Just add your dates and details.
