One thing not to confuse it with: Sumilon Island is the opposite. That one is privately run by Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort and the day-use pass has to be reserved before you travel, so if your day includes both, the island is the booking to make ahead and the whale sharks are the queue to be early for. It also changes which vehicle meets you, because a child seat occupies a seat and a folded stroller travels as luggage - a family of four with two seats and a pushchair wants a van rather than a sedan even though it is only four people.
