Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 16, 2026. Plain-English terms for bookings arranged through Cebu.travel. See also our Privacy Notice.

Cebu.travel is a booking service operated by IslaTravel. These terms apply once a quote turns into a confirmed booking - a quote or enquiry on its own is not a booking.

1. Your booking

A booking is confirmed once IslaTravel sends written confirmation (email or SMS) after the booking fee is received, either as your deposit or as part of a full transport payment. Until that confirmation lands, you don't have a booked vehicle or driver.

2. Passengers, stops & route changes

The vehicle, driver and price are booked for the passenger count, route and stops stated at confirmation. Extra passengers or stops must be requested and confirmed in advance - the driver may decline unconfirmed additions on the day, and extra charges may apply once they're confirmed.

3. Mobility & accessibility needs

Tell us about a wheelchair, a walking frame, a recent injury or limited mobility when you request the quote, and we plan the trip around it instead of discovering it at pickup. Our vehicles are standard road cars and vans - none is ramp- or lift-equipped - so a passenger does need to transfer to a seat, and a folded chair or frame travels as luggage and counts towards the space we size for. What we can genuinely change is the plan: which vehicle comes, how close it gets, and which stops are on the day. Several places we drive to cannot be reached by car at all, and we will say so plainly before you book rather than leaving you to find out at the jump-off.

4. Cancellations & refunds

  • Cancel at least 72 hours (3 days) before pickup: full refund of the entire amount you paid, whether a deposit or full transport payment. Exactly 72 hours before pickup qualifies.
  • Cancel less than 72 hours before pickup: the booking fee is non-refundable (it has already been committed to securing your driver).
  • If IslaTravel cancels (driver or vehicle unavailable): full refund or free rebooking, your choice.
  • Refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.

5. No-shows & late arrivals

  • Customer no-show (driver waits at the agreed point, no contact) beyond 45 minutes past pickup time for non-airport pickups, or 60 minutes past flight landing time for airport pickups (to allow for immigration and baggage delays): treated as a cancellation, booking fee forfeited, and the balance may be charged as a no-show fee to cover the driver's committed time and travel - this is disclosed at booking for higher-risk routes.
  • Running late? Message the number on your confirmation as early as possible. Reasonable delays are accommodated; long delays may need rescheduling or incur a fee if the driver can't wait.
  • Driver no-show or unreasonably late: full refund plus IslaTravel arranges alternative transport at no extra cost where possible.

6. Changes to your booking

Date, time or route changes should be requested as early as possible via the contact details on your confirmation. Changes are confirmed subject to driver availability; requests inside the cancellation window above are best-effort, not guaranteed.

7. Liability

Drivers are vetted and vehicles insured per local requirements. IslaTravel arranges transport as a booking agent; the driver/operator is responsible for the safe delivery of the trip. IslaTravel is not liable for delays outside its control (weather, traffic, ferry schedules, road closures) but will make reasonable efforts to notify you and re-arrange where possible. Personal belongings remain the passenger's responsibility.

8. Payment

The booking fee is paid online at confirmation, either as your deposit or as part of a full transport payment where your quote offers it. If you pay a deposit, the remaining balance is paid directly to the driver at the end of the trip. The amount due and payment method are stated on your quote and confirmation. The full fare for the transport is always shown at quote stage: no meters, no tourist price, and no charge of ours added afterwards beyond extras you confirm in advance under Section 2. Charges set and collected by other people at the places you visit sit outside your quote and are covered in Section 8a.

8a. Local charges collected by others

Some trips involve charges that are set and collected by other people at the place itself, not by IslaTravel. On our routes and tours these are typically the whale-shark registration paid at the Oslob municipal desk in Tan-awan, the Tumalog Falls entrance and the habal-habal down the last steep stretch, the Badian entrance at Kawasan Falls and the canyoneering package sold by the licensed operators at Alegria, the municipal environmental user fee for snorkelling in Moalboal waters and any Pescador Island banca or gear rental, the small entrances at Temple of Leah, Sirao and Tops, the trailhead guide at Mantalongon for Osmena Peak, the day-use pass for Sumilon Island which is run by the resort and reserved before you travel, and passenger tickets on the public ferries to Camotes and Bantayan. They sit outside your quote and are paid on the day, in cash, to whoever runs each place. We do not collect, advance, itemise or reimburse them, and we never mark them up. We do not print amounts because the operators and the municipalities set them and the figures published for several of them disagree with each other, so ask on the day or ask us and we will ask for you. None of this changes your quote: your quote covers the vehicle, the fuel, your driver and the waiting time, and it spells out what is and is not included.

9. Contact

Questions on an existing booking go to the contact details on your confirmation, not to the driver directly for anything affecting price or scope - see Section 2.
