Short answer

There is no bridge to Siquijor, so every route from Cebu City ends on a boat or a plane - but you no longer have to drive the length of the island to catch one. The quickest crossing from the city is OceanJet's daily passenger fastcraft: it leaves Cebu, calls at Tagbilaran in Bohol and carries straight on to Siquijor town port, roughly 4 to 4.5 hours end to end on a single ticket. Passengers only, so no vehicles. If you need one on the island, Lite Ferries runs a RORO from Cebu Pier 3 to Larena, leaving 1:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and docking around 11:00 PM, with Starlite running an overnight twice a week. And if your dates suit it, Sunlight Air flies from Mactan-Cebu airport to Siquijor non-stop in about 55 minutes.

The classic route is still worth taking when you want the coast: drive down the east side to Liloan port at Santander, Cebu's southern tip (around 150 km, roughly 3.5 to 4.5 hours through Carcar, Argao and Oslob), take the short fast craft to Sibulan next to Dumaguete, then a Dumaguete-to-Siquijor fast ferry of about 45 minutes to an hour. It is the only version that lets you stop at Oslob or Moalboal on the way, and the Liloan-to-Sibulan crossing runs frequently - nine RORO sailings each way plus a passenger fast craft (see our verified ferry timetable).

What we quote is the Cebu-side road leg of whichever you choose: your hotel door to Pier 1 for the OceanJet, to Pier 3 for the RORO, to Mactan airport for the flight, or the full run down to Liloan timed to your sailing. The flight and the boat tickets are yours to book and sit outside our quote. Note the two direct boats land at opposite ends of Siquijor - OceanJet at Siquijor town in the south-west, Lite Ferries at Larena in the north-east, about 45 minutes apart - so the crossing you pick decides where to book a room. Always confirm current times close to your travel date.

Step by step: Cebu City to Siquijor

  1. 1
    Hotel pickup in Cebu City

Your driver collects you at your hotel door in a private car or van, so there is no bus terminal to find or connection to time with your luggage.

  2. 2
Drive down the east coast to Liloan port

It is about 150 km from Cebu City to Liloan port at Santander, the southern tip of the island, roughly 3.5 to 4.5 hours along the coastal highway through Carcar, Argao and Oslob. We time the run so you reach the port in good time to connect.

  3. 3
Cross to Sibulan, then on to Dumaguete port

The fast craft from Liloan (Santander) to Sibulan next to Dumaguete takes about 20 to 30 minutes, then it is a short ride round to Dumaguete’s ferry port. Both the crossing and the onward Siquijor boat are public services paid at the port.

  4. 4
    Fast ferry Dumaguete to Siquijor

The Dumaguete-to-Siquijor fast craft takes about 45 minutes to an hour and lands at Siquijor town port or Larena. Several sailings run through the day; check the current times as they change with weather and season.

Ways to travel, compared

  • Private transfer to the ferry port (what we arrange)~3.5-4.5 hrs road leg

Door-to-door from your Cebu City hotel down the east coast to Liloan (Santander) port in a private car or van, timed to a sailing. Fixed, all-in price for the Cebu land leg, request a quote.

  • OceanJet fastcraft via Tagbilaran (quickest from the city)~4-4.5 hrs

A daily passenger fastcraft from Cebu that calls at Tagbilaran in Bohol and continues to Siquijor town port - one ticket, no change of vessel, no vehicles. We run you from your hotel to Pier 1.

  • Overnight RORO, Cebu Pier 3 to Larena~10 hrs

Lite Ferries at 1:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, docking at Larena about 11:00 PM; Starlite runs an overnight twice a week. The only sea option that carries a car or motorbike.

  • Direct flight from Mactan-Cebu~55 min

Sunlight Air, non-stop since 15 December 2025 on an ATR 72. A few days a week only - reported as four at launch and three on the airline's current page - so check your date. Booked with the airline.

  • Ferries: Liloan to Sibulan, then Dumaguete to Siquijor~20-30 min + ~45-60 min

Two short public crossings, threaded through Dumaguete, after the drive south. Fixed fares paid at the port; OceanJet and Montenegro Lines run the Dumaguete-Siquijor leg. Confirm the current times before you travel.

  • DIY by Ceres bus + ferries~6-7 hrs

A public Ceres bus runs from the Cebu South Bus Terminal to Liloan port and rolls onto the barge to Sibulan - the east-coast service signed “Bato via Oslob” - then you make your own way to Dumaguete port for the Siquijor boat. Cheapest, but a long stretch of fixed timetables and connections with your luggage.

Add stops on the way to the pier

What we run on this route is the road leg to the pier, so the stops go on this side of the water: lunch, a viewpoint, a shop before you sail, with your bags staying in the car. The crossing itself is your own booking. Tell us the sailing you are aiming for and we work the pickup and the stops backwards from check-in.

  • The car waits wherever you stop
  • Luggage stays in the vehicle
  • Fuel, tolls and parking included
  • Entrance fees paid locally, as you go

We'll pre-fill Cebu City Siquijor. Put the stops you want in the notes box and we'll come back with one all-in price.

Cebu City to Siquijor: FAQs

How do you get to Siquijor from Cebu City?

The quickest crossing from the city itself is OceanJet's daily fastcraft, which calls at Tagbilaran in Bohol and reaches Siquijor town port in roughly 4 to 4.5 hours on one ticket. Faster still, if the day works, is flying: Sunlight Air goes Mactan-Cebu to Siquijor non-stop in about 55 minutes. The overnight Lite Ferries RORO from Pier 3 to Larena takes around 10 hours and is the one that carries a vehicle. The classic route remains the drive down Cebu's east coast to Liloan port at Santander (about 150 km, 3.5 to 4.5 hours), the short fast craft to Sibulan next to Dumaguete, then the Dumaguete-to-Siquijor fast ferry of 45 minutes to an hour. Cebu.travel drives the Cebu-side leg of any of them, request a quote.

How long does it take to get from Cebu to Siquijor?

Anything from under an hour to a full day, depending which way you go. The direct flight is about 55 minutes gate to gate. OceanJet's fastcraft via Tagbilaran is roughly 4 to 4.5 hours. The overnight RORO to Larena is about 10 hours. The road-and-two-ferries route via Dumaguete is most of a day: 3.5 to 4.5 hours by road from Cebu City to Liloan port, a 20 to 30 minute crossing to Sibulan, a hop round to Dumaguete port, then the 45 minute to one hour fast ferry, plus waiting between sailings. Traffic, stops and ferry timing all move that total, so build in slack and confirm the schedules.

Is there a direct ferry from Cebu City to Siquijor?

Yes. OceanJet runs a daily passenger fastcraft that calls at Tagbilaran in Bohol on the way and reaches Siquijor town port in about 4 to 4.5 hours - one ticket, but passengers only. Lite Ferries runs a RORO straight from Cebu Pier 3 to Larena, leaving 1:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and arriving around 11:00 PM, with Starlite running an overnight twice a week; those carry vehicles. The two land at opposite ends of the island, roughly 45 minutes apart, so pick the boat that suits where you are staying. We can run you to either pier, request a quote.

What is Siquijor known for?

Siquijor is a small, laid-back island famous for its turquoise Cambugahay Falls, the white sand and clear water of beaches like Salagdoong and Paliton, the old Balete tree and fish spa, quiet coastal roads perfect for a scooter loop, and its long-standing folk reputation for healers and “magic”. It is an easy add-on to a Dumaguete or Apo Island trip; tell us your plans in the quote request.

Can you do the return trip, Siquijor back to Cebu City?

Yes - we meet your ferry at the pier and drive you back to Cebu City, the same road leg in reverse. The crossing stays your own booking, as on the way out. Ask for both legs in one quote request and we price them together.

What does the price for Cebu City to Siquijor include?

The quote is one fixed all-in price for the private vehicle leg, agreed in writing before you travel, and fuel, tolls and parking are inside it - along with any waiting time or extra stops you tell us about when you ask. Because this trip involves a sea crossing, the ferry or boat ticket is not in that figure unless we have set it out for you: tell us your crossing and we will say plainly what we are quoting for and what you book yourself. Entrance and activity fees at anywhere you stop, and your meals, are paid locally.
