Can I visit Tumalog Falls and Kawasan Falls in one day without doing the Oslob whale sharks?

Short answer
Yes. Tumalog Falls sits a short ride uphill from Tan-awan in Oslob and has its own access and entrance, so visiting it does not require booking the whale shark interaction at all - that is a separate activity you simply leave off the day. This is the most common request we get from travellers who want the south coast scenery without the whale shark encounter, and with a private car it works as one continuous loop rather than two separate trips.
The geography is what makes it a single day. Oslob is about 117 km down the south-east coast, roughly 3-3.5 hours from Cebu City by private car. From there it is about 65-70 km around the southern tip and up the west coast to Moalboal, roughly 2 to 2.5 hours. Moalboal to Kawasan Falls in Badian is the short coastal hop most day-trippers already do, about an hour. From Badian it is roughly 120 km and a 3-4 hour drive back to the city. Because you loop around the southern tip in one direction instead of doubling back, you never repeat a road.
Be realistic about the length: at 13-15 hours door to door this is the longest single day we run, and it needs a pre-dawn pickup to work. If that sounds like too much, the same three stops split comfortably over two days with a night in Moalboal, and we are happy to quote it either way - tell us which you would prefer. The habal-habal shuttle and entrance fee at Tumalog, any snorkel gear or Pescador Island boat at Moalboal, and the bamboo raft at Kawasan are all small, locally run amounts paid on the ground, so they sit outside our quote. About 65-70 km south through Santander and back up the west coast, roughly 2 to 2.5 hours, with the sea on your left most of the way.

A free shore snorkel with the sardine run and green turtles, straight off the beach with no boat needed. A Pescador Island banca trip can be added locally if you want longer in the water.

Each stop is reachable by Ceres bus plus a habal-habal or tricycle, but the Oslob to Moalboal leg needs a change at Bato and there is no through service, so all three in one day is not realistic by public transport. Most travellers who try end up staying a night on the west coast.

Can I see Tumalog Falls without doing the whale sharks?
Yes. Tumalog Falls has its own access and entrance a short ride uphill from Tan-awan, and the whale shark interaction is a separate activity booked and paid for on its own. If you would rather not do the whale sharks, you simply do not book them, and the falls are unaffected. Plenty of our guests visit Oslob for the waterfall alone.
Is it really possible to fit all three into one day?
Yes, but it is a long day, roughly 13-15 hours door to door, and it only works with a private car and a pre-dawn pickup. Oslob, Moalboal and Badian sit in a loop around Cebu’s southern tip, so the driving is a series of hops in one direction rather than three separate round trips from the city.
Can we split it over two days instead?
Yes, and for many families it is the better option. The usual split is Tumalog Falls on the way down with a night in Moalboal, then the sardine run and Kawasan Falls the next day before driving back. Tell us which version you want in the quote request and we will price it accordingly.

Can we do the Kawasan canyoneering on this day?
Not on this particular day. The guided canyoneering descent is a multi-hour activity in its own right, and adding it here would not leave time for Tumalog and Moalboal as well. If canyoneering is the priority, our dedicated Kawasan Falls canyoneering day tour is the better fit.
Is it a group tour or just us?
The car is private, just your party, one vehicle and one driver for the day. A sedan suits up to about 3 to 4 travellers; a van suits a family or small group. Tell us your group size and we quote the right vehicle.
