Our run from Mactan is 4 to 4.5 hours and about 140 km, roughly an hour longer than the city drive, and you have to clear arrivals and meet your driver before any of it starts. Land at 11:00 AM, allow about an hour to get out of the terminal, and you reach the port at much the same time the city traveller does. The reason this is a landing time rather than a departure deadline is that there is no last sailing to count back from: published last departures disagree, about 4:30 PM and about 5:30 PM both appear, and since March 2026 the port authority and the shipping lines pause Hagnaya operations around high tide, so the last usable boat moves day to day. We confirm the day board with the shipping line and set the pickup against a named departure. If your flight lands later than that, say so in the quote request and we will tell you plainly whether the crossing works that day or whether a night near the airport and an early run north is the better plan.

We arrange the pickup around your actual flight time, but the last Hagnaya ferry leaves in the late afternoon or early evening, and sailings are paused around high tide. If you land late, an overnight near the airport or in the north and an early-morning run is often the safest plan - tell us your flight and we’ll advise in the quote.

It’s very tight given the long drive plus ferry each way. We usually recommend at least one overnight on the island so the trip is actually relaxing rather than a race for the boat.

If a flight ends the trip as well as starting it, the form holds one flight number - put the other one in the Anything else? box with its date and time, and we time that pickup to the check-in.

The quote is one fixed all-in price for the private vehicle leg, agreed in writing before you travel, and fuel, tolls and parking are inside it - along with any waiting time or extra stops you tell us about when you ask. The car does not cross with you. We drive you and your bags to the pier, your driver helps unload and carries them as far as the terminal entrance or the ticket counter, and from there you travel as foot passengers with your own luggage - so the honest picture is bags out of the car at the pier rather than a van rolling onto the boat. Most of the terminals we drive to have porters working the entrance with trolleys; they are local and they expect a tip, and they are not part of our quote because we neither employ them nor set their rate. What settles it is whether a vetted driver is free for the time you need, and you will have the answer and the price by email the same day, usually within a few hours. A very early start is routine here rather than a complication. The part that gets harder with less notice is choice - holding a particular vehicle size or an exact pickup hour - not whether the journey can happen, so send the date and, if the timing is tight, the hour you need to be moving.

It also changes which vehicle meets you, because a child seat occupies a seat and a folded stroller travels as luggage - a family of four with two seats and a pushchair wants a van rather than a sedan even though it is only four people.
