How do I get from Moalboal to the Mactan resorts?
Short answer
The Mactan resort strip is roughly 105-115 km from Moalboal and about 3 to 3.5 hours by private car: east across the island through Barili and Carcar, north up the coastal highway, then over onto Mactan. It is a little longer than the same trip to the airport because the resorts sit deeper into Lapu-Lapu than the terminal does.
This is the leg people take when the diving is done and the last nights of the trip are a beach resort rather than a dive town. The variable is the end, not the middle: the highway south of the city moves, and the crossing onto Mactan is where an afternoon arrival can lose half an hour. Why is the distance given as a range?
Because the resorts are spread along about seven kilometres of coast. Maribago is nearer the bridges than Punta Engano or Cordova, so we would rather publish the range than one number that is wrong for half our guests. Name the resort and we quote the actual run.
Can we stop at Kawasan Falls or Carcar on the way?
Carcar sits directly on the route and is the natural lechon stop. Kawasan is south of Moalboal, so it is a detour rather than a stop on this direction - doable, but say so at quote stage so the waiting time is in the price.
Can you collect us after a morning dive?
Yes. Give us the time you will actually be out of the water and dried off, and we set the pickup from that. The car is yours for the transfer, so there is no penalty for a slow start.
