Almost every group asks the same question before anything else: will we all fit, and will the bags fit with us. It is a fair thing to want settled in advance, because the moment to discover that a suitcase has to ride on somebody’s lap is not when the door opens at arrivals.

Start with whichever is bigger: your headcount or your bags
Most people size a vehicle by counting heads. In Cebu the luggage is usually the tighter constraint, because a group flying in for a beach week arrives with hold luggage, and anyone heading out to Moalboal or Malapascua often has dive kit stacked on top of it.
So take the larger of the two numbers. Five people with four big suitcases need the same vehicle as eight people travelling light. Give us both figures and we size it once, properly, rather than sending something that technically seats everyone.

Adults, children and infants all take up room, even when a small child does not need a seat of their own. The real headcount is more useful to us than the number of paying adults.

Toyota Vios, 1 to 3 seats, 2 to 3 bags
A nimble, economical sedan. The right call for a solo traveller or a couple going from the airport to a hotel without paying for space you will not use.
Toyota HiAce Super Grandia, 7 to 9 seats, 6 to 8 bags
A premium van with captain chairs, extra legroom and a quieter ride. This is the one to ask about when the driving is long, such as the run down to Oslob or Kawasan Falls.
Toyota HiAce Commuter, up to 12 seats, 10 to 12 bags
The workhorse of Cebu transfers. Room for the whole group and a stack of luggage, which makes it the usual answer for family airport runs and island-hopping days.

When your group needs two vehicles
Twelve seats is the top of a single van, so a group larger than that travels in two. The line arrives a little earlier when the luggage is heavy: nine people with nine large suitcases are a two-vehicle group even though the seats alone would have fitted.
Two vehicles is not two separate trips. Both drivers get the same itinerary and the same timings, they leave together and arrive together, and you get one quote covering the whole group rather than a pair of bookings to reconcile between yourselves.
Above twelve passengers
Plan on a second vehicle. Send us the total and we split the group sensibly, so it is settled before the day rather than on the kerb.
Heavy luggage, borderline headcount
A wedding party, a dive group or a family moving between resorts often crosses the line on bags well before it crosses it on seats.
You still travel as one group
Same route, same stops, same briefing. A convoy keeps together, and you can request the same drivers across a multi-day trip so it is familiar faces throughout.
How far you are going changes the answer
A short hop off Mactan island and a three hour drive down the east coast are not the same journey, and a vehicle that is perfectly fine for one can be a long afternoon in the other. Comfort matters in proportion to the hours you spend sitting in it. These are the distances and journey times we publish on our route pages.
Mactan-Cebu Airport to Cebu City, about 13 to 15 km, 30 to 60 minutes
Short enough that the only real question is whether everyone and everything fits. Traffic on the bridges, not the seating, is what stretches this one.
Cebu City to Carcar, about 40 km, 1 to 1.5 hours
The heritage and lechon stop most southbound drives break at. Comfortable in anything, and a natural place to stretch your legs.
Cebu City to Moalboal, about 90 km, 2.5 to 3 hours
Long enough that legroom and a quieter cabin start to earn their place, particularly with children or dive kit aboard.
Cebu City to Oslob, about 117 km, 3 to 3.5 hours
Usually a pre-dawn start for the whale sharks. This is the drive where the extra comfort of a Super Grandia is most obviously worth it.
Children, gear and the things people forget to mention
Four things account for nearly every vehicle that turns out to be a size too small. None of them is a problem if we hear about it while we are still quoting.
Child seats
We can arrange these in advance. Ask when you request the quote and tell us the ages, so the right seat is in the vehicle before pickup instead of being solved at arrivals.
Dive and snorkel kit
Bulkier and heavier than people expect. If you are going to Moalboal, Malapascua or Oslob with your own gear, count it as luggage rather than hand baggage.
Surfboards, golf clubs and anything long
Tell us before we quote. Long items are the one thing that will not simply squeeze in, and they are far easier to plan around than to discover.
The trip home
Groups routinely fly out with more than they arrived with. If the return leg is the heavy one, say so and we size for that instead.
What to tell us so the quote comes back the right size
The quote form asks for your group size and gives you a luggage note field for exactly this reason. Four short answers are enough for us to get it right first time.
