Should I do the highlands at sunset?
It is well worth it, with one ordering rule. Tops is open around the clock and several view cafés look straight over the city lights and Mactan, so it is the right place to finish. The Sirao flower gardens are daytime-only and close in the early evening, and Temple of Leah announced shortened hours in April 2026 without publishing a fixed replacement schedule - so on a sunset day those two come first and Tops comes last. Many travellers run the old city in the morning, the gardens and temple in the afternoon, then finish up top for sunset and get driven safely back down after dark. Is this a good tour straight from the airport?
Yes. The highlands are only about 45 to 60 minutes from Mactan airport and downtown Cebu is a little closer, so it is an easy first day for arriving travellers. We can start from the airport or your hotel, and finish with a drop-off wherever you are staying.
How long is the day, and can I make it shorter?
